Daisy Mae & Finn
HI!!My grandson and I ADORE OUR beautiful BLack Labs!!
The little girl Daisy Mae, we simply call ‘Daisy’ and kept the middle name. But as in all families, the middle name is often referred to when someone isnt quite behaving. And it’s not that she is bad, Daisy is young and rambunctious, all wiggly and strong headed at times. But that is completely typical of the young Labradores. I have raised one prior as a pup, so I know. She does respond if you keep at her and once you are her focus.. all is excellent. She has been more difficult to teach where the potty zone is but that, too, will continue to improve as she ages.Finn, that name fits him perfectly and we kept it. He responds to it completely. A more mellow boy who has learned better fitness as he and Daisy have a whole lot of room to race against each other after a ball. He minds so very well. We have had 3 peeing accidents but I had to be gone longer than expected each time. Otherwise he does wonderfully. Next week will be the first trip for grooming and nail care. We will see how they do.
Daisy is still learning about walking vs pulling on a leash and has pulled me around at times. Mostly when she sees a rabbit. That will improve also.Minimal barking. Usually for attention or to come out with us. They ride well in the car. And kennel easily anytime I need them to kennel.I feel fortunate that they were fairly well trained by the time they rescued us. And I mean it as I said it. Life was on the sad side before Daisy and Finn.
No concerns, no worries with food or hydration. Winter WILL be quite interesting this year. 🤣
Awesome experience all around and I do believe they were waiting for me to come for them.
