Our canine companion volunteer program focuses on dogs. A shelter can be a scary place for a dog that has never been in a kennel before. Our canine companion volunteers can help make their shelter experience less stressful. Some activities they can do with the dogs are: Brush, Walking, Bathing, Socializing, Playing, Reading a Book. Stop by the shelter to contact us to learn more!
Our feline friend volunteer program just focuses on cats. We have many cats that need a little extra tender loving care when they enter the shelter. Here are some ways our feline friend volunteers can interact with our cats: Brush, Socialize, Read a Book, Laser Lights, Snuggle or Cuddle, Play – Stop by the shelter or call if you’re interested!
Book Buddies is a program designed to help our shelter animals become more adoptable through social interaction with children. Reading to the animal calms and comforts them. It also helps children improve their own reading skills. Prizes are available!
