(Simon now Gunny)

I think that he is adjusting very well.  He seems very comfortable.  Kennel training was a breeze and he adjusted very well to my daughter’s senior dog Zues and our cat Peanut. He has tons of energy and loves to be outside.   We are looking forward to warm weather.

We did a DNA test on him, and it turns out that he is 50% Shepard and 50% pit bull. He has only had a couple of accidents in the house and now lets us know when he needs to go outside.

When we adopted him, we were aware that he may not respond to men favorably.  He is great with my husband but still is a bit shy with our son.  It is better than it was when he first arrived, and we continue to work on that.  We have also determined that he may get a little car sick when traveling.  We will continue to monitor that and mention it to the vet as well.

We are very happy having gunny in our home.  It has been exhausting at times, but the quiet times are amazing.  The staff at the human society was wonderful and we are so happy that we chose to adopt from you.  We are working very hard on training with words and hand signals, and he is continuing to improve.
